These terms apply to johnnieappliancepros.com and to the repair work carried out by Johnnie's Appliances ("we", "us"). Reading the site or booking a visit means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past, and if anything below is unclear the shop will explain it over the telephone.
We test and repair household appliances in the home: refrigerators, freezers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ice makers, wine coolers, built-in coffee machines and trash compactors. We do not work on heating, cooling or ventilation equipment of any kind. Whether we can take a particular job depends on a technician being free, on parts still being obtainable, and on there being safe access to the machine.
Every visit is booked into a two hour arrival window. Traffic, a job that runs long and severe weather can all move that window, and if it moves we contact you rather than leaving you waiting. Somebody aged 18 or over has to be at the property for the whole of the visit.
A service call fee applies to each visit and the amount is told to you when the booking is made. If you approve the recommended repair, that fee is credited in full against the total. If you decide not to go ahead, the fee stands, because it paid for the travel, the technician time and an assessment that has already been done and cannot be undone.
Repair prices are flat rate and are given once the testing is finished, never before. If something further comes to light after the work has started, we stop and ask you before continuing.
Payment is due when the work is complete, unless something different was agreed in writing before the visit. We accept the payment methods advertised at the time. Where a balance goes unpaid, reasonable collection costs may be added so far as the law allows.
The labor on a completed repair is warranted for 30 days from the day the work finished, and a part we install is warranted for whatever period its own maker states. Both attach to that particular repair and that particular part rather than to the appliance in general, which means the warranty does not extend to:
Claims come straight to us. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how they are handled.
We work on appliances as we find them. We may decline one that is unsafe, that has been poorly repaired by somebody else, that has taken water, salt or pest damage, or for which parts are no longer made. Where an appliance cannot sensibly or safely be repaired we say so and charge only the service call fee.
Moving a built-in appliance carries risk that no amount of care removes. We take reasonable care of flooring, cabinetry and connections, and we cannot accept liability for existing weaknesses in any of them that give way when an appliance is pulled out.
Safe and clear access to the appliance, and telling us about hazards you know about, is the responsibility of the customer. Where a property or a machine presents a real risk to a technician, we reserve the right to leave and to charge the service call fee.
What is written on these pages is background about appliances and about the way we work. None of it guarantees that a given problem can be put right, or put right for a given amount, and the price ranges quoted are illustrations rather than offers. We would also ask you not to try the repairs described here at home. Gas and mains voltage are dangerous, and in much of the country the work is regulated as well.
Every manufacturer name, brand name, logo and model designation on this site belongs to its owner and appears here so that readers can find the right page. Johnnie's Appliances is an independent repair company. Naming a brand implies no affiliation with it, no endorsement by it and no authorization from it unless we say so in as many words.
The text, layout, photography and code of this site are ours and may not be copied or republished without permission.
So far as the law allows, our total liability arising out of any service, or out of your use of this site, is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, which includes spoiled food, lost earnings and property damage not caused directly by our own negligence.
These terms are governed by the law of the state in which the work was carried out, and any dispute belongs to the courts of that state.
These terms are revised from time to time. Whichever version is published here on the day you book is the version that applies to your service.
